routine check-ups to emergency interventions. Our team is passionate about equine health and strives to offer the highest standard of equine veterinary services. We are looking for a skilled and compassionate equine veterinary technician to join our growing practice.

Position Overview 

As a full-time equine veterinary technician, you will work closely with one of our veterinarians to provide medical care, diagnostic services, and treatments to our equine patients. This role requires both clinical work and travel to farms and equestrian facilities, with driving to these locations being a key part of the job.
A positive and friendly demeanor is essential, as you will interact with clients, horses, and other team members in a professional and approachable manner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians by handling and restraining equine patients.

  • Support lameness evaluations, dental procedures, and other routine and emergency services in the field. 

  • Maintain and organize mobile veterinary equipment, ensuring supplies are stocked and prepared for each visit. 

  • Prepare laboratory samples for processing and shipping (e.g., blood, urine, feces tissues). 

  • Maintain clean and organized work areas, ensuring all equipment is sanitized and functional. 

  • Perform additional tasks as needed.

Education & Certification:

  • Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) or equivalent certification preferred.

  • Relevant equine veterinary experience is highly desirable.


Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience working with horses in a veterinary setting.

  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency with veterinary equipment and procedures.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with clients and team members.

  • Ability to manage stressful situations with composure and professionalism.


Other Requirements:

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

  • Flexibility to work varying hours, including occasional weekends or evenings.

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
